Hello list, I recently received the obit for one of my ancestors, Ira Jennings. He died in 1868 and the obit reads that his father was "Lieut Jenings of Revolutionary fame". No first name is given for this lieutenant. Does anyone know of a famous Jenings from the Revolutionary War? Lynn, NH

Just could not resist. My gggf Ira Jennings was born 1815 in Danby, Thompson Co., N.Y. But he died in 1904 in Bibb Co., Ga. Wonder if there was a relation to yours.
