Hello, Does anyone know if there has been a different research list established for researching (Captain) Alexander DONIPHAN, Sr., born: abt. 1640 in Plymouth, Devonshire, England and his family? I descend from (Captain) Alexander DONIPHAN, Sr. and his 1st wife: Amie/Amy PARTRIDGE, born: abt. 1640, possibly in Plymouth, Devonshire, England, who may have lived in London, England, and was the sister of Samuell PARTRIDGE and their sisters, Sarah PARTRIDGE, Elizabeth PARTRIDGE and Mary PARTRIDGE, whom I believe all immigrated to Virginia, possibly together. Looking to find out the names of their parents. There was also a PARTRIDGE marriage in my LAMKIN ancestry but not that I directly descend from but I believe that it may have been one of the children of my ancestral grandparents from 1600's Virginia, Hannah COX, and 1st husband, George LAMKIN. Hannah's 2nd husband was Dr. Samuel DEMOURVILLE. But it could have been a sibling or cousin of George LAMKIN's that married the PARTRIDGE. (Captain) Alexander DONIPHAN, Sr. and Amie/Amy PARTRIDGE had a son named Alexander DONIPHAN, Jr. that married Sarah SALLIS, (daughter of Samuell SALLIS, 1st husband, and Mrs. Sarah CATLETT TALIAFERRO SHORT, (widow of 1st husband, Robert TALIAFERRO, Jr. and married 3rd husband, Samuell SHORT.) Mrs. Sarah CATLETT TALIAFERRO SHORT was the daughter of (Colonel) John CATLETT and I believe her mother's name was Sarah HAWKINS but I may not be remembering correctly on that. I descend from (Captain) Alexander DONIPHAN, Sr. and Amie/Amy PARTRIDGE through daughter, Amy DONIPHAN, born: abt. 1662, who married as her 1st husband, (Captain) John KELLY, born: abt. 1660 in Virginia?, don't know county, (maybe Rappahannock???,) (son of Penelope ?, (was she named SALLIS as well????,) and Matthew (1) KELLY,) and Amy DONIPHAN's 2nd husband was Edward RANSDELL. My descent continues through (Captain) John KELLY and Amy DONIPHAN's daughter, Ann KELLY, born: abt. 1696 in Virginia, probably Richmond County, died: 1734/1735 in Richmond County, Virginia, who married William JENNINGS, Jr., born: abt. 1695 in Richmond County, Virginia, died: 1733 in Richmond County, Virginia. William JENNINGS, Jr. was the son of Mary WILLOUGHBY and husband, William JENNINGS, Sr., born: abt. 1668 in Rappahannock County, Virginia, (son of immigrant to Rappahannock County, Virginia, John JENNINGS, born: May 22, 1640 in St. Martin's Parish, Birmingham, Worcester County, Virginia, and his wife believed to be Margaret PAYNE, (daughter of John PAYNE, immigrant, born: abt. 1615 in Yorkshire, England, died: 1689/90 in Maryland during the Maryland Protestant Revolution, buried at "Red House," Cedar Hill, Westmoreland County, Virginia, and his wife whom is thought to be Margrett/Margaret ROBINSON, daughter of early 1600's Tidewater area of Virginia immigrant, Richard ROBINSON, uncle or great uncle or Christopher ROBINSON, immigrant. ALLERTON EARLE RUST BENNETT who was the 2nd wife of her 1st husband, Samuel EARLE, I, (my paternal 7th great grandfather,) (son of (Sir) John EARLE, born: abt. 1612 in Nye, Wynscombe, Somersetshire, England,) and Mary SYMONS/SYMONDS, born: abt. 1619 in Gloucestershire, England, (thought to be sister of Francis SYMONS,) and Samuel EARLE, I's 1st wife, my 7th great grandfather was Bridget HALE(S,) (daughter of Thomasina DOWCETT and Thomas HALE(S.)
