His parents were John Jennings and wife, Rachel, of Christian County and<= BR> later Caldwell County, Kentucky. Married twice: He first married Kitty Earle in Christian County, Kentucky= on December 21, 1811. Their children were Washington Jennings born about 1815/16, Nancy Jenning= s born about 1817, Franklin Jennnings born October 12, 1819, Sarah Jennings= born about 1821/22, Marion Jennings born about 1823, Balous Jennings born= about 1825, Samuel William Jennings born May 16, 1826. After Kitty Earle Jennings died Bailey married Sally Lee. Their children= were Margaret Jennings born November 29, 1849. We do not have the dates of birth of all of Bailey and Kitty's childr= en but by the ones we know and others in the U.S. Census records we listed t= hem as we did above. It seems that Washington was the first child born. The= U.S. Census record of 1860 of Smith Co., Mississippi shows Washington as<= BR> being 44 years of age which would mean that he was born about 1816. Yet = the U.S. Census of 1870 shows him as being 57 years old. This would mean tha= t he was born about 1813. Both of the censuses give his place of birth as<= BR> Kentucky. Bailey and family moved to Alabama soon after Washington was born or = at least before Franklin was born October 12, 1819 in Alabama. Bailey and<B= R> family mmoved from Alabama to Covington County, Mississippi and lived nea= r Booye. Bailey Jennings was appointed Justice of Peace in Covington County,<B= R> Mississippi, July 31, 1821. He is also found in the personal tax rolls o= f Covington County beginning in 1821 for several years with his name being<= BR> spelled in different ways as, Bailey, Baillie and Baley. He owned 160 ac= res of land located near Booye and valued at $320. The tax roll of 1831 show= s Bailey as having only 80 acres of land so appaarently he had sold one 80<= BR> acres. Sometime after 1831 Bailey Jennings and family moved to Simpson<B= R> County, Mississippi. Sarah Jennings is the daughter of Bailey Jennings and wife, Kitty (Earle)= Jenningss. Born in Covington County, Mississippi about the year 1822.<BR= > Married Jerry Parker. Their children are George Washington Parker, Tabit= ha Parker, Richard T. Parker, Spencer B. Parker, Catherine Elizabeth Parker,= George Dasil Parker. Sarah Jennings Parker was also called "Sally". We don't know in just= what cemetery Sarah and Jerry are buried but the U.S. Census of Rankin<BR= > County, Mississippi for the year 1870 shows Sarah and children as living = in that county. Jerry is not shown so he had probably died prior to the tak= ing of the census. We have no records giving the dates of birth and death of= Sarah but the census record of 1870 gives her age 48 years which would me= an that she was born about 1822.
