    2. Please remember last year was only a couple mo's ago. He had foot and more removed in Dec 2001. He still had plans to be back on road soon. Let us not ever forget the role Jesse Colter played in his life. Had he lived, I have no doubt that she would have been holding him up on the road . 1. [JENNINGS] SALLEE and JENNINGS from Linda
    2. Hi, Linda, I know others on the line have been searching for your Robert and Catherine. And I really do think it is quite possible that there is a connection with the SALLEE and my Edward Salley JENNINGS, Sr., son of Wm. JENNINGS, Jr. and Ann KELLY. The SALLEE and SALLEY are the same and so rare to find that I think there must be a connection. And the "Tine" definitely could be short for Augustine....so, maybe we will find something connecting eventually....out there somewhere. 1. [JENNINGS] Wayland's Father was William Alvin Jennings
    2. This maybe a start for finding Wayland's Jennings line Wayland Arnold Jennings, 15 June 1937, Littlefield, Texas, USA. Jennings' mother wanted to name him Tommy but his father, William Alvin, insisted that the family tradition of "W.A." should be maintained. His father played guitar in Texas dancehalls. Some of my line went from TN/KY to Texas. Seems if one did something bad and the lawmen were after them, they took off to Texas, where at the time there was no law. I am sure others went for different reason's Florence

    3. Pat, My gg grandfather was supposedly born in 1824 in Washington Co., Illinois. However, I can find nothing on him in Illinois, and I am now wondering if perhaps it wasn't Washington Co., Missouri, since he went back there from Texas and married a sweet young thing who was only 16 -- he was 39. 3. Jeannine, I don't think we're onto the same Jennings family, but the similarity is amazing. My gg grandfather was Elisha Jennings, who married Mary Elders about 1863 while he was serving in the 10th Missouri Cavalry during the Civil War. He supposedly was born in Illinois, but I haven't been able to find any proof of that. Elisha and Mary, who was his second wife, had two daughters, both born in Arkansas, but they ended up living in Indian Territory during the early 1900s.
