Hi, Jim, I don't know if this will provide any connections for you or not but it does have a JENNINGS family in Illinois with an ancestor named Elijah JENNINGS, born: 1822. Maybe it will provide a clue or two. http://www.angelfire.com/sys/popup_source.shtml?Category= Southern Illinois Bulletin Board VI Good luck. I'm still searching for information on my gg grandfather, Elisha Middleton Jennings, born 1824 in Washington County, Illinois. I have no idea who his parents were, although family legend says that his mother's maiden name was Middleton. Any help would really be appreciated. I am trying to research my Jennings family and have hit a brick wall. I can get no further than my grandparents EDWARD WESLEY AND SARAH CAGLE JENNINGS. My grandfather had one brother DOLPH JENNINGS who lived in Lynchburg, Virginia and one sister EM JENNINGS LINEBERRY who I think lived in Randolph county, North Carolina. His mother's name was HULDA JENNINGS and I do not know whether or not she was married. I have no information about his father. I understand he had an uncle who lived in the New England States but no one knows his name. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Ruby H. Hello, From a couple of wills of Pasquotank Co NC, i can see that William Jennings (dated 1713) names wife Mary (b. 1671). Mary's will (dated 1725) names her son John Relf and son-in-law, John Norton (husband of dau. Margaret_ ) (i don't know if she is a Jennings or a Relf) From looking at World Connect files, I see others have stated that this mary was married to Thomas Relfe before, and that she is the daughter of John Jennings b. 1640/50 and Dorothy. Also World Connect has this same Mary married to a Thomas Keile before she was married to Relf. She was pretty busy. Or was it not the same Mary in all these relationships. If anyone on the list has any sources that would back up this relationship, or have knowledge of Margaret, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, diane
I made a mistake. The date for Charles Christopher Brannan's birth is 1851 not 1951. Sorrry!

Does anyone have a WILLIAM WALKER JENNINGS in database? This is a REAL left field attempt. My great-great grandmother, Johannah Jennings was born 30 Dec 1792 (maybe in Otsego Co., NY) but more probably eastern NY or NJ or PA -- She married 5 Oct 1815 to Benjamin Kingsbury in Cherry Valley, Otsego Co, NY....Their firstborn child was born in 1818 and named WILLIAM WALKER --- There are no immediately given names on the Kingsbury side of family, and I suspect this WILLIAM WALKER is named after her JENNINGS side of family. Seeking information on on HANNAH JENNINGS who at the age of 64 was living in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY ©© (1855) when she attestedto her sister's application (Joannah Kingsbury) for widow'spension, Joannah's husband having fought in War of 1812. Cananyone assist me in searching for a HANNAH JENNINGS in Buffaloin 1855? Would like to hear from anyone researching JENNINGS in NYS: Joannah JENNINGS born 30 Dec 1792 probably in New York State; died 30 May 1872 town of New Hudson, Allegany Co., NY. She married 5 Oct 1815 to Benjamin Kingsbury in Cherry Valley, Otsego Co., NY. Her mother's name may have been Hannah and she definitely had a sister Hannah Jennings who attested to the marriage of Joannah to Benjamin Kingsbury when Joannah made application for widow's pension because Benjamin had served in War of 1812. Joannah died at home of her son, Daniel, but she lived her adult life in town of Rushford, Allegany Co., NY where she and husband migrated. She is buried Hardy Corner's cemetery at Rushford. She is my gg-grandmother. Sure would like to hear from you.
