Searching for info on ANDREW JACKSON JENNINGS b. 2-12-1860 married to VIRGINIA BELL CHUMBLEY b.3-15-1865 I believe in Wilson county he died 4-23-1931 in Rutherford county He is buried in Jennings Cemetery in Statesville Tn.I believe he and his family lived in the Lascassas area. Hi, Bill! I read the Jennings list and noticed your latest message. I don't think Miles was born in Halifax County because it wasn't formed until 1752. Though I have temporarily guessed he was born in Goochland Co, we don't really know where he was born. It could have been PA because there was some flow of people (especially Quakers) from PA into VA. Miles married in Halifax c1762 but I don't know where he was prior to that year. Don't recognize anyone but George Oliver Swicord has a certain swish to it. Maybe I'll jot that down to name my first born, in another life. It's well balanced, if you see what I mean. I think one of the problems we are experiencing in trying to connect is that there is a prohibitive gap around the mid-1800s so we don't know if we link to these historical Jennings or not. Or maybe it is only my own lack of progress in pushing back beyond 1850. The common name doesn't help.
