Because my line used the spelling 'ROLLEN' that is how I will type it. Rollen Jenkins had 200 acres of land in Rowan Co NC by 1778 on Abbott's Creek in Capt D. Smith's district. His land was bordered by Ludwick McCartney, Henry Stone, Patrick Coyl, Ludwick Winkler, Peter Whitaker, and David Evins. from ROWAN CO NC Vacant Land Entries by Richard Enoch. On 9 September 1780 Rollen Jenkins made a 100 acre entry on New River at Rocky Shoal. Apparently he did not go through with obtaining the land because his name was drawn through and the name of Samuel Wilcoxen was shown. Regards, Bettye
