I am hoping to locate descendants of William Jenkins who left Warren Co KY and relocated to Adams Co IL c 1845. WIlliam was b in Loudoun Co VA in 1798, son of Sampson and Frances E (Chilton) Jenkins. He married 9 Dec 1822 Warren Co KY to Susan Stone, dau of Daniel and Susanna (McFadin) Stone. She died c 1844/5 William took his minor children to Adams Co IL before 1850. They were: 1. William A Jenkins 1832-1894 served in Co B 78 IL Inf m 6 Mar 1856 Rachel Price; bur Keath Cem Mendon IL 2. Martha S 1830- m 16 Mar 1851 Washington I Agard 3. Amanda S 1838- m 20 May 1862 Albert G Pickett 4. Wilson H b 1842 5. Jonathan b 1844 William SR died c 1873 in Adams Co; he appears to have lived with his son William and never remarried. I have not located his burial place. He had another daughter who was married prior to his leaving for IL named Frances Ann; she m #1 William French in 1840 and went to Evening Shade AR, and then he died and she remarried #2 James Haywood McCaleb in 1856.
