I am serching for the parents of Nancy JENKINS ARTHUR, wife of Joel ARTHUR, SR. They were probably married in Bedford County, VA. around 1776/77. No marriage record has survived. It is thought Nancy's father's name was Azariah or Amos JENKINS/JINKINS. They are both listed in tax lists for Bedford Co., VA. Joel and Nancy also named children Amos and Azariah ARTHUR. Amos JENKINS appeared as a witness in Jackson Co., OH. for the Revolutionary War Papers of Joel ARTHUR, SR. Joel and Nancy ARTHUR's first son, Chandler ARTHUR, also married a JENKINS, namely, Elizabeth JENKINS, a daughter of John JENKINS. Searching for any links in VA, WVA, and OH.
