    3. Dear Jenkins List; I am seeking any information concerning Thomas Jenkins. The following is taken from 'History of Fremont County, Iowa', 1881, under Sidney Township: Thomas Jenkins, minister, P.O. Sidney; born in Monongalia County, Va., January 6, 1798, where he matured and received his education. In 1825 he founded a powder mill in his native county, and afterward changed the same to a flouring establishment. In 1832 he moved to Warren county, Ohio, and in 1835 to Indiana, where he remained until 1854. In that year he came to Iowa and located in Fremont county. In early life he united with the Old Baptists, to the ministry of which he was ordained October 7, 1832. Mr. Jenkins has been three times married: July 11, 1816, to Miss Hannah Smith, by whom he had seven children: Mary, Jonathan, Ambrose, Nancy, Sarah, Thomas and Rhoda. By his second wife, Mrs. Anna Crumrine, he had three childre: Anna, Susannah and one unnamed. In 1852 he married Mrs. Matilda Cunningham. He has been in the ministry a number of years. He had the misfortune to become totally blind for four years, because of a cataract. He is now full of vigor and as zealous as ever in his work. I beleive that I descend from Thomas and Hannah (Smith) Jenkins's daughter Nancy Jenkins. Nancy Jenkins was married twice,(1) Abram Russell Martin and (2) John Howard. Does anyone make a connection?
