Trying to locate the ancestors of George Washington Jenkins. Story goes that he and brother Wesley left upstate N.Y. and walked with some oxen to MN. where he and Wesley show up on the census of 1870 Stearns Co. He was 18 when he arrived there. Wanting to see if anyone ever heard similar story about them and where they came from in N.Y. and who their parents/siblings were. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Sandy Hawkins
