In the 1830 census of Wilkes County, Francis has been replaced by Leroy JENKINS as the head of household and there are two males between 20 and 30 living in that house. Does anyone know any more about Francis JENKINS? Was he married? Was Leroy JENKINS the son of Francis or was Leroy the son of Sterling, Sr. and his second wife, Catherine ANDERSON NOWLAND JENKINS? Before the 1840 census, Leroy Jenkins(b.1807 d.1851) had moved to Randolph County, Georgia, where he married Mary GRIER in 1833.
