"Rachel Jenkins (or Jinkins) Father and Mother were on the ship Caledonia about the year 1648. The ship "gounded" and went to pieces near Amboy, New Jersey. They with other Scotch passengers (including my husband's Coles Ancestors) settled in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, after being in New England for a while.
