WAYNE HICKS) I don't know if I've addressed properly to get this message to you; however, I read your reply to Karen, regarding her Jenkins/Minnesota. I read that your Jenkins were of African-American descent from Alabama. I would like to know if any of your Jinkins/Jenkins were from Georgia and South Carolina? My great-great grandfather, John Jenkins b. ca. 1836-39 was born in SC, as were his parents (names unknown to date). He lived in Randolph County, Cuthbert, Ga. and m. Millie (?) 1849. Their children: Alfred (1860), John (1862-64); Perry (1865-67) and Josephine (1868). He remarried Mandy(?) 25 years his junior and had Walter, Arthur, Viola, Vanessa and Lucius. The only one from this second group of children I have been able to trace is Viola, who, after her fathers death early 1900s, moved to Phoenix City, Alabama. Would like to hear from you re: your Jenkins line. Alexis ------- FORWARD, End of original message ------- -=[Wayne]=- "We are not interested in the possibilities of defeat."
