JENKINS, ADAMS, LEONARD, CHARM? Well here goes! :-) I hope that someone will recognize something here in their Jenkins lines. On my Father's side. His Mother was Ida Mae Jenkins born in Clough Township (Morrison County) Minnesota April21, 1880 Her Father was John or E.J. Jenkins and indicates on the Minnesota Census that he was born in Pennsylvania. (no parents or sibling info whatsoever) I have a birth certificate for a baby girl born to EURELIA (ADAMS)JENKINGS AND JOHN JENKINGS on Nov 29, 1896 in Little Falls, Minnesota Death Certificate for the baby is written Nov 30, 1896 showing the parents as ORRELIA ADAMS JENKINGS (within 24hours there were name mistakes made in names. DEC 11, 1905 Another Death Certificate from Morrison County Minnesota EVA JINKINS(is the way it is spelled) Morrison County, Minnesota stating this childs place of birth was BROCKWAY TOWNSHIP, MINNESOTA She was 13years 11 months and 10days and died at school of heart failure her parents are listed as MOTHER CORNELIA ADAMS JINKINS FATHER ELISHA JENKINS I also have a MINOR'S PERMISSION TO MARRY form issued by the State of Minnesota dated Sept 14, 1895 and filed Sept 16, 1895 in Morrison County, MN for Rosa L. Jenkins who is 16years and 8months permission to Marry Henry Charm or Charon? Charou? were married in the city of Little Falls, Minnesota This form is signed by Rosa L. Jenkins parents as E.J. Jenkins and Cornelia Jenkins John Jenkins wife Cornelia or Orrelia or Eurelia Adams was born somewhere in Kentucky...........no parents or sibling information According to the Minnesota Census she was born 1859 and John Jenkins 1858 somewhere in Pennyslvania No evidence of parents for Adams or Jenkins No evidence of siblings for either side. I do not know if Ida Mae Jenkins was one of ???????????? children. Dec 12, 1898 Marriage of Ida Mae Jenkins and Delbert Leonard in the city of Little Falls, Morrison County, MN Between 1900 and 1917 the had 12 children six boys six girls Alfred*whom by the way was definitely born a male is listed as Alva and female by Morrison County......Delbert, Alva, Eugene,Alvin and Woodrow Alfred Leonard Marcia, Mildred Irene, Della, Evelyn, Leona and Lorraine who was the last born June 28, 1917 and my grandmother died Sept 7, 1917 Some of these younger ones were adopted and some placed in various schools my Dad was just a baby just turning 4 so he knew very little about his family. Thought his father was born somewhere in Wisconsin which I have now confirmed but thats where the trail ends And its as though this line of Jenkins and Leonard never existed. I hope something here catches someones eye. Maybe a familiar name or place My Jenkins side started in Pennsylvania and married someone born in Kentucky. My Leonard side my Father born in Ft. Ripley, Crow Wing County, Minnesota along with all of his siblings. My grandfather Delbert Leonard was the 5th born of 6 children all born in Wisconsin to my great grandparents Malinda Leonard and John Leonard born somewhere in the state of Maine approx 1832 or 1833 again no siblings no parents Malinda born in Canada I have no maiden name therefore no siblings no parents but just learned she remarried someone named BRATT in the St. Cloud Minnesota area Delbert Leonard my grandfather's siblings were John Leonard Jr., Alva, Mary, William, and James all born 1864-1878 Dunn County Springbrook Township, Wisconsin I hope these lines link with someone out there. I don't understand how a family of this size just seems to go poof...................and no trails or connections. Karen
