Hello, all. I haven't seen any Maryland Jenkins mentioned on this mailing list yet, but hope someone out there can help me. I am looking for parents of and/or any other information on Augustus JENKINS, b ca 1806 in Maryland. He married Elizabeth LARK ca 1833. The 1840 and 1850 censuses for Anne Arundel Co, MD lists Augustus and Elizabeth as living in the 2nd District. The 1850 census lists their children as: M.A. age 16 Wm T. age 14 Stephen age 12 Samuel age 10 Charles age 8 (my gr-gr grandfather) Augustus age 4 My gr-gr grandfather's (Charles) 1923 obiturary lists additional siblings among the survivors: a brother, George F. JENKINS, and 2 sisters, Sarah E. LAWRENCE and Ida M. WEST, all living in Baltimore, MD Augustus had at least one brother, John JENKINS, who moved to Concord Twp, DeKalb Co, IN - where he is listed in the 1850 census. My gr-gr grandfather, Charles JENKINS, joined him there sometime around 1860. Any help or hints will be greatly appreciated. Sue Sablic Indiana [email protected]
