Here is my Jenkins' lineage of Nansamond Co., Va ., and Hertford, and Northampton Co., NC. It is long, and it might be confusing to those who are not familiar with this lineage. I will be glad to answer questions concerning it, if needed. Gov. John Jenkins (16??Eng. -1681NC) and Joanne (16?? Eng.-1688NC) She married a Harvey 2nd. Supposed Children: ( Henry has ben accepted by the Col. Dames as a child of Gov. Jenkins) 1. Joannah m. Robert Beasley 2. Elizabeth 3. Dr. Henry Jenkins 4. John m. Ann 5. Thomas Dr. Henry Jenkins children: 1. Edward-- d. 1799 Southampton Co., Va.; m. Sarah --Edward 2. Charles--d, 1773 Hertford Co., NC; m. Elizabeth Winborne (b.17?? - d.1765) Hertford Co., NC 3. John -- Charles and Elizabeth Winborne Jenkins Children (acording to will in Hertford Co., NC.) 1. Henry --d. ca. 1810 Northampton Co., NC; m. Martha Dew (?) 2. Elizabeth 3. Winborne--d. m. Emily Futrell 4. Charles--one of Charles' sons went into Gates Co., NC and this line has recently been approved by Dames. Winborne and Emily Futrell Jenkins Children of Winborne and Emily: 1. Winborne Jr.--died ca. 1814--married Susannah Benthall who after his death married Winborne Jr.'s . first cousin, Benjamin. Winborne's chilren were: Elizabeth-- married David Futrell; Sarah "Sally" A.---married her cousin Henry Deberry Jenkins Sept. 7, 1812. He was also her step-brother.; Polly--(Mary) died in 1842--married John H. Askew--18 April 1814; Milly--married David Gatling; Charles --married Susan Perry of Hertford Co. N.C. [There was a Charles B. who states his father was a Winborne in Deed 25 p. 233 Northampton Co., N.C. I do not know if this is the same Charles. A Charles B. married a Mary Mann in 1833 and a witness to this marriage was a Winborne Jenkin.] Children of Charles and Susan Perry Jenkins: 1. William Perry Jenkins--married Susan Ann Perry lived and died in Hertford Co., N. C. 2. Charles--lived near Woodland in Northampton Co., N.C. 2. **Benjamin--born ca. 17__--married Levinia Futrell 4-9-1818--He died ca. 1823--lived in Northampton Co., N.C.; Named the following children in his will dated October 2, 1821: Dempsey; Henry; Winborne: b. ca. 1792; m. Sarah Futrell--pre-1830--d. before 1830; m. second 12-21-1830--Jincey Oliver- daughter of Everitt Oliver-Northampton Co., N. C.; 1812 War records said m. Mar. 6. 1831; Winborne d. Sept. 28, 1866 according to 1812 War records in Northampton Co., N. C.; On the 1812 War records Winborne Jenkins was a substitute soldier for a Benjamin Jenkins. Was this Benjamin his father? No known children by Winborn and Sarah Futrell Jenkins Children of Winborn and Jincey Odom Oliver: 1. William E.--born ca. 1833; married 3-10- 1851Charity Odom daughter of Kinchen and Charity Odoms of Northampton Co. N. C.; Wm.and Charity d. after 1900, but before1914--no estates records found in Archives of N. C.. Children of William and Charity Ol Jenkins: A. Levenia " Lennie" -- b. 2-23-1853 - d. 2-27-1927; m. J. Coleston b. 5-18-53 - d. 5-4-1930. B. Cornelius -- b. 1860, d. died young C. John William -- b. 1864 - d. 7-29-1950; m. Etta Joyner according to Bible record d. Anne--born ca. 1836 - died before 1907; married Charles Odom a son of Kinchen and Charity Odom of Northampton Co., N. C. on 6-27-1854; Charles, d. 1907 Northampton Co. Children of Anne Jenkins and Charles Odom: 1. Kinchen -- 1859-19?? 2. Winborne -- 1861-1902 3. Andrew -- 1868-1907 4. Levenia -- 1869-19??; m. Jessie Vinson 5. Charity -- 1871-19??; m. Carter Vaughn 6. Charles -- 1875-19?? 7. Berry -- no information 8. Jennie -- left N. C. ca. 1872; In 1907 no one knew if she was alive or not.--(Archives records) In 1907, Kinchen Odom, Lavenia Vinson and Charity Vaughan were all residents of Southampton Co., Va. E. Elizabeth--born ca. 4-9-1840 Northampton Co., N.C.; died 10-19-1918; married John "Jack" Mulder 12-16-1879. Children of Elizabeth Jenkins and John Mulder: a. Luke b. Luther- married Sarah Futrell a. Robert G. Jenkins 1. Dr. Robert G. Mulder, Jr. F. Andrew Jackson--born 11-11-1843--married [1.] Lenie Futrell on 2-14-1867 -- [2.] Elizabeth Sumner--b. 12-22-1880--died 4-20-1924 Northampton Co., N.C.; had 8 children all documented in the Northampton Co. court record: Mary, William Henry, Jordon, Connie, Johnny, Arthur, Stella, Fred, Ernest.
