    1. Re: JENKINS roll call TN>MO>TX>OK
    2. Hi, My Jenkins line is pretty thin at this point. It begins with William M. JENKINS, b abt 1830 in TN. I don't know a county or parents or siblings. He married Mary ? presumably in MO abt 1858. They had a son, Manus, b MO in 1859. Then he turns up in Grayson Co, TX in the 1870 census with four more children, Alice, Helen and Mary, and a son, John L., age 3, and a new wife, Nancy whom he married in 1870, according to County records. After that he and the rest of the family, except son John, are lost again. John L., called Lee, moved to Indian Territory, where he married Mary May HAZEL in 1889 in a Chickasaw ceremony. He married her in Gainesville, TX as well later that year. They had five sons, John Leonard, b 1891, Seth Thomas, b 1893, James Claude, b 1895, William Lee, b 1899, and Clarance (called Robert or R.C. later in life), b 1901. John Leonard (called Leonard) had at least one son, Edward E., b 1925. I don't know what happened to him. Seth had a son, Seth, who was my father, b 1914. James Claude (called Claude) had at least one daughter, Anita. I don't know what happened to her. William Lee died at age 17. Clarance died in the 1970s. I don't know if he had children or not. They all lived in the Garvin Co, OK area at one time. Seth and Clarance (R.C.) are buried at Maud, OK. Leonard and Claude and William are buried in Lindsay, OK. If anyone can connect to this very sparse listing, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Regards, Barbara Schenck
