For your info, you might want to read "The Jenkins of Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas," by Harold R. Coffman and Mrs. Jerry (Kay) Maclin Todd. This can be gotten from the Dallas Public Library, Interlibrary Loan Service, 1515 Young Street, Dallas, TX 75201-5499. This takes you back to William Jenkins, who came over from England in the mid 1600's. This book has answered a lot of questions for me, as this is my line. Hope you will find it helpful, too.
