I am seeking more info on the descendants of Jonas Jenkins, Sr. born ca. 1774 in Shenadoah County, Virginia and died ca. 1856 in Bryson City, NC. Jonas, Sr. was married to Mary Brickey. I am the descendant of his illegitimate son, Charles "Dock" Jenkins, born 1829, NC and died in 1915 in Bryson, NC. Dock served during the Civil War for the Confederacy in 29th NC, Company F. He joined in 1861 at age 41 and acheived the rank of Sargeant by the time the war ended. One of his daughters, Sarah Josephine, had a daughter, Mae Magdalene Jenkins, born ca. 1885 and died in the 1940s (my great grandmother). Sarah later married Lee Fuller (the biological father of Mae's first three children, the oldest of which was my grandfather). After divorcing Lee Fuller, Sarah later married a man by the name of Keys. My grandfather's name was Lewis McKinley Fuller (born in Ga in 1901 and died in Maryville, TN in '70). Later my grandfather took the surname of his stepfather, Samuel Allen White. My father was Lewis McKinley White, Jr. (born in 1932 in NJ and died in 1981 in NC). If anyone has any info on this line, I would deeply appreciate it. What I put above is just a little of the info I have, if anyone else is researching this line, I'll be happy to share what I have so far. Alicia
