Hello, I'm looking for info on Grace Erwin Jenkins. She wrote to the Bucks County Historical Society in 1933 looking for info on John Erwin and Susan Tomlinson. Thanks. Marybeth Erwin Hegel marybeth@nothinbut.net
While I do not know anything about Grace Erwin Jenkins, I would be interested in communicating with someone in the Erwin Line. Primarily I have researched Jenkins, Holland and Anderson lines. However, we have noticed the strong influence of the Erwin/Irwin/Ervin names. For instance, my GGrandfather was John Ervin Jenkins. Both the Jenkins and the Anderson lines have used this name (some version of it) numerous times. We know of an Ann Erwin who md. a John Anderson (b. 1736) and are not certain if our families have a direct connection. There is a strong possibility that they do have. We do know that the Jenkins, Hollands and Andersons intermarried for several generations, and they migrated from SC with the several other families too - Easley, Lacy, Davis, Barton, Cherry, Darnell, Birdsong, etc. They went to KY, then MO(some), AL, MS, LA and TX. If any of these names rings a bell, please let me know.
