    3. >From the Beckley (WV) Register-Herald, February 6 2001 Ray Jenkins PINEVILLE - Ray Jenkins, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at his residence following a long illness. Born Aug. 13, 1919, at Bomont, he was the son of the late Ira and Ollie Shafer Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was a disabled coal miner having last worked for Consolidated Coal Company, Itmann. He was a member of the Pineville Church of the Nazarene and a resident of Pineville since 1952. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna G. Jenkins, in May 1998; a grandson, Wesley Ray Jenkins; four brothers, and four sisters, one of which was his twin. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Jenkins and his wife, Vivian, of Princeton, and Bobby R. Jenkins and his wife, Lillian, of Pineville; two daughters, Barbara Phillips and her husband, Jim, of Pineville, and Betty England and her husband, Woody, also of Pineville; two sisters, Pearl Ray and husband, Jack, of Pocatalico, and Alta Samples of Procious; special caregivers, Bobbie Day, Barbara England, and Linda Stewart; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Pineville Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Franklin Goff and Donald Lohr officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
