Can't help with Mary "Polly" Jenkins tonight, but can tell you that William Perkins migrated into the Edgecombe-Halifax County area around 1760. By 1783, there were three members of the Perkins' family listed on the N.C. taxpayer's list as living in Halifax County: William, Henry Sr. and Henry Jr. I will talk to my new found cousin, Tom Aiken, who has Jenkins info--maybe something on Mary "Polly" and get back to you as soon as I can.
