I am trying to learn where the information came from that proves Hugh Jenkins was b 12 March 1769 in Rowan Co NC. He was the son of Rowland Jenkins and Jane Cunningham, early residents of Rowan Co NC and Carter Co TN. Hugh m. Gracie McQueen. Today I rec'd copies of the papers for the settlement of Jane Cunnigham's father's estate. In August 1769 she and her brother, Hugh Cunningham, jointly signed a legal document stating that they were residents of Earl twp, Lancaster Co PA. I also have the record of Jane's marriage to Rowland Jenkins which states the couple appeared 3 Sundays in a row to express their intent to marry and did so on 20 September 1769 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, Lancaster Co PA. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that is descended from Hugh or has knowledge about him. Thanks, Bettye
