    1. Re: Jenkins, Albert Riley and Sarah Cottrel of NC
    2. I am really having a time with this family. Albert Riley Jenkins born 26 Aug 1824 and died 1 Mar 1868. He left behind his young wife Sallie Cottrel (She is buried under a stone reading Sallie C. Lunsford) b. 14 Oct 1828 d. 18 Jun 1915 I have found the following children: George W. Jenkins b. 26 Jun 1852 d. 18 Oct 1875 Samuel R. Jenkins b. 26 Jan 1857 d. 11 Sep 1887 Emmer C. Jenkins b. 2 Nov 1866 d. 31 May 1880 Hattie (Hariette Elizabeth) Jenkins b. 30 May 1864 d. 9 Jan 1938 w/o C.A.Clodfelter Mary Ellen Jenkins b. 6 Sep 1861 d. 20 Apr 1923 w/o John Hamilton Nifong Henry Thomas Jenkins b.? d.? m. Mary Spach m. Bertha Crews (might of moved to White Plains Surry Co NC) The only reason I know that A.R. Jenkins middle name was Riley is because I have some deeds and papers that he signed as A. Riley Jenkins. The only way I found Henry Thomas Jenkins is that on a deed dated 1890 he swapped property with his brother-in-law John Hamilton Nifong. Henry Thomas Jenkins, Samuel Jenkins, and George Jenkins all worked for the Spach Brothers Wagon Works in Forsyth Co. NC. W.E. Spach the father-in-law to Henry Thomas Jenkins, and his wife, were the witness to the marriage of John Hamilton Nifong and Mary Ellen Jenkins. Albert Riley Jenkins and Sallie Cotrel were married in Guilford Co NC in 1851. Hope this helps someone. Happy Digging Catherine Leinbach
