It has been a while since I posted my Jenkins. John Jenkins bought land in Iowa in 1854. He purchased the land in New York City. I found him in the 1860 census in Winneshiek County Iowa. His wife was Lydia ? Children were Lucy, Ellen & William. Lyida & children were in Chickasaw county Iowa in the 1870 census but no John. I found in a Chickasaw county history book that John died in New York city. The 1860 Iowa cewnsus lists England as John's birthplace. If any of these Jenkins sound familiar I would love to hear from you. I have really hit a blank wall with them.
