Reply to Margaret, Have you tried to contact the Shropshire County Record Office which is probably in Shrewsbury? (Sorry I do not have access to their details here but should be available via a UK search engine.) County Record Offices hold many detailed genealogical references and helpful knowledgeable librarians and are often more useful than the local reference library. They will have: a. The Victoria History of the Counties of England edited by R.B. Pugh, published by the University of London Institute for Historical Research. - series for Shropshire - a multi volume collection of County records. This is a very useful source for local information on UK counties, place names and history. and b. Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the United Kingdom which should show Greast Green (Goose or Geaten or Greasy Green?). Hope this helps - if you cannot get the County Record Office come back to me. Colin Carlin, Bath, England. Researching ELLA ROSA JENKINS born Louisiana 1840 and her brother, EDWARD JENKINS born 1844/6 also in La. probably in New Orleans. Both with connections with Charleston, SC and Comal, Grimes and Anderson counties Texas.
