Dawn and Howard While your Jenkins may well have come from Bath it sounds as though they were highly mobile so they may have belonged to the social group that used Bath as a spa or holiday town. This is more likely if they lived in inner London and Birmingham both very polluted and smokey in winter. Thus families came to Bath for quite long periods in winter taking or renting sets of rooms. Thus the Bath connection may be slight. They may have worked with the Railways or some other Service like the Revenue or Excise that posted families around the county.
