I am referring to the subject line listed on newly arrived, unopened messages. For example: [JENKINS] subject. At least on my screen, when I look at the list of messages, I can tell at a glance whether they are from a list when the name of the list is in the subject line. Until I open the ones from the Jenkins list, I can't tell that they are from the list, as the sender's name only appears. The list name above the subject line appears only when I have clicked on the message and opened it. I get so many emails that sometimes I choose to read certain ones first, or sometimes a certain list first, if I'm anxiously awaiting an answer to a posting. It's very convenient to see the subject line annotated as the example above! Linda "G. I agree, Linda. If the name was not familiar and the subject happened to be something that sounded strange, you might suspect a virus and just delete it. I know the word is that viruses come in an attachment but how soon will these weirdos find a way to include one in a regular e-mail?? It would be helpful to have JENKINS in the subject line in the inbox.
