Hello, Yes I know mine Jenkins/Kujawski webpage is on My Family.com. R.J.
Hi, Just a note about the MyFamily site. I am on two of them. Information IS collected by ancestry for their use (and I hope not sold). They won't let you on the site withour giving your COMPLETE birthdate which isn't a good idea when it comes to living people. The other thing is newcomers don't know how to get on the site sometimes. None of the information given is researched any more on the family sites than it is on the "open" rootsweb sites. I kind of think the regular rootsweb sites for family names is more accessible and welcoming. Just a thought. Hi Howard, Thanks for your JENKINS information. I am just beginning on my JENKINS line. I have found that Elizabeth Ann JENKINS born c. 1859 in London, England married Thomas WATERS in Birmingham, England in 1877. They were my great grandparents. Elizabeth's father was listed on the marriage certificate as David JENKINS. I have found a David JENKINS in the 1881 census of Birmingham born Bath, Somerset c. 1833 with wife Laura also born in Bath and children younger than Elizabeth - two born in London and 4 born in Birmingham. I believe this is my family but will try to get Elizabeth's birth certificate to confirm. It would be great if we could connect these two Bath JENKINS families. I will watch for your names as I look for mine. Will put this on the JENKINS list in case others are looking for these folks. HEllo ... The only way a person can get into a Myfamily.com is be invited or start one, and it is code name and password only entering.. SO it is a safer website to be into as far as private chats and etc.. Like the ones I have, I invited cousins and aunts only and we are the only ones in there and no one else can get in unless I invite them and they get the code name and pass word for that site..and the only way you can get in is to know that name and password... And the JENKINS I am searching... Rowland JEKINS and Jane CUNNINGHAM their son : Emanuel (Manuel)JENKINS and Elizabeth CROW their son: Elbert JENKINS and Sarah STOVER ( my 3rd grt) Rose in Snowy Ore. ************************************ andover-mg@juno.com wrote: > > Hi, > Just a note about the MyFamily site. Hi List, I am a descendent of the Downing line. I am searching for a relative, DELLA JENKINS, who left northeast Missouri---around Memphis----and moved to Minnesota. I think her husband might have been a railroad commissioner or something with the railroad. She had a son named Downing Jenkins. He is probably still living--she might be. Does anyone on this list know them? If so, please tell me how I can contact them or ask them to contact me. Teresia Cox Brownsville, TN billcox@aeneas.net
Is anyone on this list researching English JENKINS? Looking for great grandmother Elizabeth JENKINS, born c.1859 in London. Father David born c. 1833 in Bath, Somerset. Elizabeth married Thomas WATERS in 1877 in Birmingham, Warwick. TIA Dawn Matheson Stirling, Ontario, Canada
Hi, I'm really stuck on my JENKINS line. I found my ggggrandfather William JENKINS on the Liverpool 1851 census. He was born about 1815 and it said he was born in Greast Green, Shropshire. Well, I have searched Shropshire from top to bottom and even went over there (from USA) to find his birth - but there's no Greast Green. I've checked Greet and Prees Green and anything that remotely sounds like that. From his marriage certificate I found that his father was Francis. That's all I know about him. Can anyone help me with this brick wall, please? Margaret
