    2. Well, to all who E-mailed me.... THANK YOU. I cannot tell you how many e-mails I got, even if I tried I could not answer all in a years time. I really didn't know there were sooo many of you that feel as I do at times.   I should not have posted that e-mail to the lists as I did and if I offended anyone I'm sorry.   But as I seen in most of your e-mails most of our people did the same thing.   Tried to hide as best they could. ..:) OK her it goes: Henry Wilson b-1782/1785 MD. married Isabella McGarr b-1786/1790 MD. There daughter was Hannah Wilson b-about 1813 PA. married John Givens b-1809 PA. and on 11-11-1830 married in Belmont Co. Ohio. There daughter was Margaret Givens b-1852 Oh. and married Squire VanCamp. James Squire VanCamp was the son of William VanCamp and Frances Jenkins b-1813 PA. and she was married first to a Ferrell. I thought at first she was a Ferrell until I found where she was barred and listed her parents as David and E. Jenkins. Again, thanks to you all, Emma

    3. Ezekiel Jenkins died testate 1750 in Fairfax County VA. His wife's name was Mary ----- and, of late, on websites and in several other places I have seen his wife's family given as Gunnell. I'd be grateful to know the evidence demonstrating this. Many thanks for your help, and best wishes to you. 3. Hi Everyone, Thanks to Elska for pointing out that I forgot to put in any dates. Wish I had some that were more definite. All I can tell you is that Joseph Jenkins died sometime in the late 1940's. My father was born in 1920 and had an older sister Josephine, one brother named Cecil and another brother. My grandmother died sometime in the late 1960's, early 70's at the latest. I realize that is a very limited amount of information. The only other item I've been able to find is a record of a land grant to a Joseph N. Jenkins in the Springfield area in the 1900's. Thanks for all the help so far. Maureen

    3. Hi Everyone, Another year and another try at finding my Jenkins line. Grandparents Joseph Jenkins and his wife were both deaf mutes possibly in the Springfield, MO area. They had four children, 1 daughter and 3 sons. They later moved to Kansas City, MO. If anyone has any little tidbit of information, I would be ever so greatful. Thanks, Maureen

    2. List, Sorry about the delay. I haven't had a lot of email time the last couple of weeks, and got behind. I just saw your requests tonight, and have submitted the change. Messages should soon have the [JENKINS] in front of them (on the subject line). Kurt Jenkins List owner

    2. June & Marco
    3. Here is the answer I received from the Rootsweb Help Desk as to why [JENKINS] no longer appears in the subject line of the list. "When the Lists6 server was moved over to the Lists2 server several days ago, the settings for the lists were returned to the defaults. The prepend is one of the things the list admin has to change manually. Apparently the list admin for these lists has not had time, or has forgotten to do so. You can contact the administrator of any RootsWeb mail list by writing to LISTNAME-admin@rootsweb.com. i.e. JENKINS-admin@rootsweb.com, and request that the prepend be added to the subject line again."

    3. If you want to contact the list administrator the address to use would be JENKINS-admin@rootsweb.com this address only goes to the administrator. I have checked the list is not up for adoption so we should have a leader. Sharon

    3. Well, I really hate to make any additions to the numerous e-mails received by some of the people on this list, BUT, unfortunately I must. I really want to remain on this list (and I will, no matter how snippy people get) so that I just might be able to share information or learn more about my ancestors; however, the message "right in front of my nose" seems to be from people that I don't know from Adam. Fact is, I know Adam, but I don't know them! When the [Jenkins] was in the subject line, at least I knew that I could trust the sending source (roots list). There are a lot of folks out there, friends, and I don't trust the entire world to allow their messages access to My computer. Some of you may be receiving the rootsweb message with the name where it can be seen before the message is opened, but it's not coming to me that way as it used to, and as I understand it, there are several others making the same request.
