I'm pretty certain that this was located in Cole Co., Missouri but I'll need to check to be sure. I'll look & see if I have more pictures of the names in my file. Happy Hunting, RJ

    1. JENKINS, Belmont Co., OH
    2. This was posted on the CARPENTER-L and I thought there were some JENKINS on the list searching in Belmont Co., OH. I hope it helps someone. Looks to me that instead it might compound some questions! LOL Betsy McGee Rice [email protected] My ancestor Rebecca Carpenter born c.1835 testified she was the daughter of Nathan Carpenter and that she lived with him while her husband was in Civil War. She was married to Joseph Cressing Jenkins in Belmont Co, Ohio. Neighbors in the 1850's later of Belmont, Noble and Monroe Co also made similar testimony. I have not been able to find a Nathan Carpenter in these counties at this time. I suspect he may have been listed under another first name or as a Zimmerman. Interested in any suggestions on finding this man. Nancy Harvey, Tallahassee FL reply to [email protected]

    3. Yes Wyn, I get that often also and sometimes it is very irritating especially when many families tend to name descendants the same name over and over through generations. When all I get is "Do you have any information on my Henry Hurst?" type of query I admit I sometimes just ignore the email -- sometimes I will respond back explaining I need more information -- I would like to think most of the time I try to remember I made goofs when I started and maybe this is someone that just doesn't know any better and needs some help. 3. John Will Jenkins was born 1846 in Wales . John Will was in Carbon County, Pa, in 1868 as a coal miner. He had a daughter, Hannah born 1866 in Wales. First wife's name is unknown. John Will's second marriage was to Elizabeth E. Rosser. Elizabeth was born Feb., 22, 1853 in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. There were two (2) children born to John and Elizabeth Jenkins, William Arthur, my grandfather, was born Nov. 1, 1877 in Trumbull County, Ohio and Priscilla Jane was born Dec. 18,1882 in Clark County, Arkansas. Priscilla married Thomas Davison in Wapello County, Iowa.. After John Will died Elizabeth Rosser Jenkins moved to Lucas County, Iowa where she married Daniel T. Williams on Nov. 2, 1886. John Will Jenkins died in either Mahoning or Trumbull County, Ohio between 1883 t0 1885. I need help in locating his death date and burial location. JENKINS, Hannah born 1866 in Wales, was living in Curtis, Clark county, Arkansas in 1882. It is believed she went back to Trumbull County, Ohio in 1883-85 with her father. She was the daughter of the above John Will Jenkins.s. What became of her???
