All I know about my Jenkins is: Jane G. JENKINS, was born about 1822 in TN. She died after 15 Jul 1870 in Missouri. She married Jesse A. Hill 7 Jul 1842 in Rhea County, TN. They raised their children in Dade County, Mo. I don't know who her parents were or were they were from. It has been suggested that her middle name may have been Green. Any help is appreciated. Received your message about the Jenkins Family in Sumpter S. Carolina. It"s certainly worth looking into, it might explain why we can"t find too much info in New Jersey. We seem to have come to a dead end. Anything else you find out please let me know. Thanks.
My Great Great Grandmother is Lydia JENKINS b. February 6, 1816. Lydia married my GG Grandfather Edward DAVIS. I have a great deal on the DAVIS line, but not much as yet on the JENKINS line. I do know that Lydia's father was Joseph Nelson JENKINS (1787-1876). Joseph married Elizabeth QUEEN 1795-1864), daughter of Armstead and Sarah Liddy (NORMAN) QUEEN. I have information on the QUEEN line back to Charles Queen/MacQueen/MacQuain b.1720. Would like to connect with anyone researching the DAVIS, JENKINS, or QUEEN lines. ***********Special Message********** List Members....... Some of you may remember the terrible shootings that occurred at the High School in Paducah, Kentucky. Several students of a Prayer Group that were meeting before school were either killed or wounded. Among those wounded was Missy Jenkins. For the past 4 months, Missy has been making steady progress toward recovery. TODAY, Missy was able to come home to begin the next phase of her recovery. As a result of the shooting she is now in a wheelchair, but that has not dampened her spirits. She plans to continue her life as close as possible to what it was before the shooting. With Spring Break at her school scheduled for next week, her friends have already planned some activities! Continue to keep Missy, and the other recovering students, in your prayers. I think I can speak for the entire Jenkins Mailing List when I say that we ALL should have the faith and determination of this young lady! Gary J.
