    3. Greetings Jenkins Family ~ 1. For these mail lists that do not "e-stamp" our mail with a mail list identifier, a brief "JENKINS" preference notation would be helpful. Adding the listname "JENKSINS" would help facilitate reviewing lengthy email listings AND provide a means of sorting messages in alphabetical order --> which puts all the "JENKINS" messages together! 2. Looking for the following family members: J.H. JENKINS (1850 ___ - 1931 TX) m: Sally A. ______ (1944 ___ - 1928 TX) Virgina Taylor JENKINS (1876 TX - 1909 TX) m: John Abernathy MILLER (1875 TN - 1933 TX) Any help learning more about these family members would be appreciated. 2. Hi cousins, Please refer to my 5/30/98 e-mail same subject. I meant to state "in the 1790 - c.1900 census" instead of just 1790. The census was all on one sheet on the microfiche page 16,999, VA State. Hope this will clarify. Thanks, Gabriel, for calling this to my attn. Bob Jenkins Chesterfield, VA

    2. Hi cousins: Some info on Noah Jenkins. In the Mormon Family History Center the other day, in the 1790 census I found the following. Noah Jenkins married Sarah McCallister 06 Jan. 1851 in Page County VA . The records were on microfiche page 16,999 VA State census and marriages. Sometime ago on the web some one mentioned a Noah Jenkins that was killed in the Civil War in VA . Could this be your Noah Jenkins? Bob Jenkins

    3. I made it to the cemetery at Ogdensburg, Wisconsin! John Jenkins' grave listed his middle initial as J. and his birth date as June 30, 1818. Since the family records tell me he was born in New York and some of his children were born in Tioga County, NY. I now have more to go on! I also got the middle initial (F,) of Ann Fronk and her b. 9 jun 1821 and d. 3-28-1901. In addition, found several graves of other branches of the family. All in all, a great cemetery visit! The best part -- my Dad drove me by the Jenkins homestead north of Ogdensburg. A working farm, with the house and barn and other out buildings still standing -- circa 1860--(another research clue). Dad said he knew who owned it so we plan to call ahead next time to schedule a visit. Unfortunately, the funeral of a dear aunt from another side of the family, necessitated a quick trip, so I wasn't as well prepared as I might have been. But I shall return again some time this summer to visit the Waupaca library and courthouse. Thanks for your support! ---------- > From: Susan C. I have their marriage bond letter. They were both born in North Carolina. Their children: Letha, Mathias C., William Walker, Sarah A., John W., James T., and Charles T. Jenkins (my great-grandfather) who married Rebecca Roxanna Smith. They later moved with their children to Indiana and then to Benton County, Missouri, and are buried near Cross Timbers, MO. I have their birth and death dates from their tombstones. I need the parents of both William JENKINS and Elizabeth PRITCHARD. Would appreciate any help. Thanks, Thelma in Texas
