    1. Re: JENKINS-D Digest V98 #123
    2. I am interested in any information available on descendant of Colonial Gov. John Jenkins of NC. He served in the 1600s as a providence governor of NC. He married a Joanna and their supposed children were Dr. Henry Jenkins, Elizabeth, Joanna, JOhn, and Thomas. I do not know the birth order of their children, but these are the children that he has been given credit for. Dr. Henry as a chld of Gov. Jenkins has passed the Colonial Dames inspection, but the other children have not. He lived in Perquimuns Precinct (Co.) and his son Dr. Henry Jenkins lived in both Perquimuns Co., NC and Nansomond Co., Va. Henry's children moved back down into NC and most of his descendants lived in Bertie, Hertford, Gate and Northampton Co. ,NC there after. ANY information would be appreciated. Thanks you Becky

    1. Daniel Jenkins, Fairfax CO VA, ca 1765-1770
    2. Charles H. Williams
    3. Seeking information about Daniel Jenkins, who leased land ca. 1765-1770 in Fairfax Co., VA -- in present-day Vienna. >From an index of Fairfax Deeds 1742-1797, Thomas Ludwell Lee registered leases of properties to several tenants at the same time -- some time between 1765 and 1770 -- the text of which were entered in the now-missing Deed Book H: "Lee, Thomas L. to Jacob Hubbard 93 same to Daniel Jenkins 98 same to Ralph Cotton 102 same to George Williams 107 same to Robert Davis 111 same to Sam'l Thompson 115 same to Thomas Lyister [Lester?] 119" This citation in this index is the first known record of my 5grgrandfather, George Williams. I have been researching these men on the premise that identifying where they came from might give me clues to where my George Williams might have been prior to this lease. If you have any information which might help, I would greatly appreciate it, and would be happy to share results of my research to date. Charles Williams [email protected] 2957 W.
