Martha was Edward's wife. They lived in Greenwich, NJ where they raised a large family.รพ 1703 - bought 100 acres of land from Judge Obidiah Holmes. This is the first mention of the Fitz Geralds in America. There is every indication to make us believe that Edward is descended from the 'famous Fitz Gerals of Ireland', who were of Irish-Norman extract, tracing their ancestry to the feudal lords of Ireland. notes from Richard A. Jarrell, 14 Jul 1999 Somewhere buried in my notes is a scrap, taken from reference work, saying that one Edward ffitzgerald was married in Wilmington, Delaware (I think) in the 1690s. As Wilmington is just across the Delaware River from south Jersey, maybe it's the same person? If it is, that takes it back almost another decade. ====================================================================== If anyone can add, subtract, or change any of the data listed above please advise.
