She was the daughter of Richard Jarrell and Elizabeth Stires\Steirs who were married in Rockingham co.NC.abt 1825. Richard died abt 1846 in either Benton co.TN or Humphreys co.TN. (He was a school teacher) I feel positive he was the oldest son of Richard Jr.Jarrell and Elizabeth Herndon but have no documentation to prove this.
