If one spends a bit of time, they can see the possibility of viewing films of records in the counties of which they may have and interest in the Family History Search links of the Maryland State Archives. The best possible way to see if these films are available to the open public is to use the "Ask the Reference Staff" of the State Archives link. Here is what I would as after doing the following: Select the persons you may have an interest about from the already online and viewable 1783 tax lists from the counties available. Then look for that County in the available lists of Records. Then look for the circa of which you found the tax was paid. Select that particular and/or relevant film given by the number in the archives files and write to the Reference Staff by query using the link. Ask if the film is available through the International Library Intra-Library Lending System. Or if they know if their films are on file with the LDS and ask for a cross-reference film number. Anything is worth trying to progress in researching resources.
