This is a searchable database: http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/#search I did a basic JAMES entry and there are some viewable and the data is very good. Try it for anyone you can think of who may have been there in your research and you may have some nice surprises! I received this from a cousin and here is what she states: " not all have been scanned as yet but 1910 to 1923 are complete with listings for all from 1910 to 1955. There is an advanced search option that can be used if as was the case in those days, spellings were varied according to whom ever was recording le Jenkins Jinkins, etc. I found so many confirming facts from these actual images of the record on file in the Missouri archives, You will note in limited instances in the pre 1910 database some data is available but death certificates were not mandatory until 1910 in Missouri. That requires clicking on the link located above the search option on this link." Linda __________________ Linda M. Thank lthank@turboisp.com __________________
