    3. This area of Lucas, Iowa was the area where Andrew JAMES family lived. Andrew now lives in Pasco, Washington. His ancestor, Amos Manford JAMES was born in 1855 in McDonough Co., Illinois and married 1879 in Lucas Co, Iowa to Julia Ann Larkin. Amos died in Chariton Twp, Lucas Co, Iowa and is buried in Near Oakley, Lucas Co., Iowa, Mt. Zion Cemetery. This line goes back to a John J(I believe "J" for Jefferson) JAMES (b. 1810 in TN) and Elizabeth WELCH/WELSH, b. 1813 in Kentucky , who married in 1831 in Mehlenberg (now McLean Co, KY). Elizabeth Welch d/o Osias WELCH and Elizabeth ROWLAND. This is a split family but the genealogy is very solid back to Kentucky. It would take a bit of time to find out who this particular C. L. JAMES who married in 1875 was as Andrew has been off line for over a year. I believe I can find out if someone is interested. Linda __________________ Linda M.
