Susanna Bealert (1745 - 1849) was married to our Daniel James (1750 - 1817). I recently exchanged d-mail with William Johnson who is descended from this Baelert line. The following exchange is copied here for James researchers. You are encouraged to write directly to him if you have other information and/or questions. I hope you will share any additional info with the list. Gene James genejames@myway.com From William Johnson mufmoe@msn.com Johan Jacob Behlerdt age 24, and wife Maria Dorothea, age 19, arrived in Philadelphia aboard the ship Samuel, 11 August 1732. They lived their entire lives in the Philadelphia and Montgomery County areas. They lived and died in Lower Merion Township, in Montgomery County. They had 5 children, to wit: Mary, b. @1733, married to Rudolph Latch on 5 March 1755, and died 1813 ---Jacob Jr., b. @1735, married to Lydia Edwards, Feb. 1762, d. 1795' David, (my ancestor), b. @1742, m. 1 August 1767 to Anna Maria Voltz. David's son David, b. 1772; married to Catherine Davis in 1800 in the Old Swede's Church in Philadelphia, moved to Lexington, Kentucky @1803, was a ropemaker, and died in the 1820's. I'm glad I could be of some help to you. The two problems I have with Jacob & Dorothy are: Where in Germany did they originate, and Dorothy's maiden name.
