    3. William JAMES widow, Mary POWEES/POWERS? (hard to read but does not look like Powers) applied for a widow's support pension in 1830's. She lived in Marblehead, Essex, MA. According to her pension for support information, she married William JAMES of Essex, Marblehead, MA. Oct 18, 1778 and the county clerk deposed so in October of 1838 for further pension benefits. At this time, Mary was 79 years of age. William JAMES was a two time enlisted private in the militia. The second enlistment lead to his death. He died of a musket ball to the temple 22nd of August, 1872. No children listed in the pension file. __________________ Linda M. Thank lthank@turboisp.com __________________
