    3. Hello Everyone out there: Can someone tell me exactly what the Family Tree DNA is all about? I am a Female line of the James in England, Massachusetts, Michigan, and than Canada My line starts in England with George Stanley JAMES and Lizzie McNutt before 1850's I only know of one son George James born in Boston, Massachusetts USA in 1855 and died in Blind River Ont Canada in 1934 he married Lenora Graham or Fletcher (not too sure of which last name?) but they had 9 children in Detour Chippewa Michigan, They were name with all "F" names. Then all but one came to Canada in Ontario. The Youngest daughter and most of the family claims to be related to the out law Jessie & Frank James. A few of the children settled on Manitoulin Island and claim that The Out law boys were there to visit at times? Does any one know how a female can have a DNA test done to see if she's apart of this line? Ann Ont, Canada

    3. Hi Ann: I will just add to what Joan said previously. Looks like you have the George James 1855-1934 who has some sons. You will have to write to one of them and see if they will agree to take the DNA test. Then you can sign on at the James DNA website, where it says "Join this Group" and have the test kit mailed to that man and the invoice mailed to you. Or you can pay by credit card when you sign up. The man will do the test which is a sponge swab of the inside of the cheek and mail it back to FTDNA and then we wait for the results. We all seem to have family stories about being related to Jesse James and I wish we could get someone in the test with a proven family line. But we are forming some great James family groups and we would love to see who you are related to. Here is the website address: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/james/ You can see all of the family lines there on the website. I think the only one that I don't have yet is this one.
