http://columbian.com/news/obits.html Mable V. James Vancouver A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel for Mable V. James, 86, who died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, in Camas. Mrs. James, a homemaker, was born May 5, 1912, in Oliver County, N.D. Her maiden name was Gaub. She lived in Clark County WA since 1956. Her husband, David M. James Sr., died in 1972. Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Benningfield of Benton City, Wash., Esther Lanning of Tumwater, Wash., and Sharon Clapp of Camas; two sons, Victor Bent of Elk, Wash., and David James of Spokane; two sisters, Helen Barnes and Adeline Hall, both of Yakima; one brother, John Gaub of Yakima; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs.James, who enjoyed children-oriented activities, taught Sunday school at Meade Avenue Church and worked part time at the Sha-Ter Day Care. The casket will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
