    3. Pat, My James line comes from Washington Co, PA also, but begins with a Thomas C James who married a Molly Downey. Thomas was born about 1745 possibly in Germany before immigrating to the US (possibly Philadelphia first then Washington Co, PA). Is this James line related to your Samuel?
