I am searching for ancestors and descendants of Martha James (1806-1830). Information I have on her is that she may have been Choctaw Indian. Her father may have been one of the Choctaw Indian Chief's that signed the "Dancing Rabbit Treaty". Martha was over 18 at the time of her marriage and was born no later than 1806. Martha married James Scott on 12/25/1824 in Clariborne Co, Ms. Martha's children were Robert and Elizabeth Scott. Martha died between 1830 and 1835. Elizabeth later married George W. Goza in Copiah Co, Ms in 1855. If you have any information on Martha, I would be most interested to hear from you. Steve Smith Baton Rouge, La [email protected]
