Together they had seven children, of which, John Chalkley b. August 08, 1856 in Pendleton, Madison Co., IN and d. December 08, 1939 in Escondido, San Diego Co., CA, was my g-grandfather. (John was Joel's 4th child.) John had 2 wives as well... His first wife was Mary Gustin b. March 26, 1874 in Guthrie Center, IA and d. August 11, 1908 in Holland, Pipestone Co., MN, married February 21, 1905 in Holland, Pipestone, MN. They had 1 daughter together. Mary already had one daugther from a previous pregnancy. That daughter, Wilma Christena Gustin b. April 21, 1893 in Guthrie Co., IA and d. October 27, 1970. Wilma Christena Gustin married John Chalkley James on May 06, 1911 Pipestone Co., MN.
