I don't understand what the difference is between a Roll Call and just posting or re-posting a query on ones ancestors. The James List hasn't been too active for the past few months. It's good to see some activity on the James list regardless of what it is called. In my opinion, it is always a good idea to re-post your information or any up-dates ever month or two.
