In Georgia? My goodness! I thought perhaps it was my Patrick Moss who is listed in 1870 in Cook Co., IL, 8 W Chicago, page 400 and in 1880 in Cook Co., IL., Chicago E. D. 59, pg 561. This is where some of the other James' daughters & sons lived during about that period before they followed the railroad on out to Utah. My ancestor, Cynthia Ann James, married and moved to Kansas where I was born and raised. She was a half sister to your Mary Ann James. Mary's brother, John, served in the Civil War as did her father, Joel, and her brother, Joel. Johnita Norman H.
