Looking for Elmer JAMES, son of William JAMES & Mary Stark JAMES, from Bloomingville, Oxford Twp, Erie Co. Ohio. Elmer was born ~1860. elmer's father, William JAMES, was killed in 1864 battle. Mother Mary died 1878, a few weeks prior to Elmer's 18th birthday, but he (Elmer) had left home a few weeks prior and could not be located. William JAMES was son of Henry JAMES & Abigail Davis JAMES, also of Bloomingville, Erie County, Ohio. Henry JAMES, Elmer's grandfather, was son of Thomas M James (Elmer's great-grandfather) and Jane Taylor JAMES, also of Bloomingville, both of whom came to America from Ireland with their sons Henry, Thomas, Peter and William (not the same William mentioned above) and one daugher, Elizabeth.
